Wasted potential, imo.īut all that being said, the game is still fantastic, and probably the last Mario game (and Nintendo game) I was fully satisfied with. ![]() Some utterly brilliant game mechanics hardly get enough exposure, like the dimension warping in Matter Splatter Galaxy. I sorta understand why they did it, but still. Didn't really like how Ice Mario and Fire Mario turned into temporary powerups instead of sticking around until you get hit. This doesn't really make much sense since levels are supposed to get gradually better and more challenging as you progress through the game. For example, Bowser's Airship Armada, a fun level to be sure, is way less difficult and interesting than Bowser's Star Reactor (one of the best levels in the game btw), yet the latter appears first. Personal nitpick, but the devs had some very questionable level placement. Some of the motion controls are just as annoying as they were before (hello ball rolling mini games) This stuff wasn't as much of an issue back when I had a CRT, but it's pretty jarring playing it now. Not to mention on a bigger screen you can also really see how low res many of the textures are. ![]() On an HDTV, especially a big one (mine's 32"), it looks like a jaggy mess. Visuals: Yes, I did mention that the game looks great.for a game that came out ten years ago. I say "nearly" because upon replaying, the game does have a few minor flaws: Super Mario Galaxy Original Soundtrack (Platinum Version)/Scans/Booklet Back.jpg. ![]() It's just such a nearly perfectly made package. Super Mario Galaxy OST (Platinum Version) Audio Preview. Brilliant level design, gorgeous graphics, and an absolutely killer soundtrack. It's one of those rare games that hits all the right notes. 3s Overworld 2 packs in sweet instruments keeping the space theme of this game while preserving.
